Providence left 26 seats vacant to honor Newtown victims Dec 19th 2012, 14:00 Twitter/edunn03 Providence College blocked off 26 seats last night to honor Newtown victims. A touching and sincere tribute to the lives lost in last week’s school shooting. We’ve seen a number of athletes acknowledge the tragedy in their own way—Chris Johnson wrote the names of those killed on his cleats, Miami Heat players brought their kids on the court for a moment of a silence.
