People still listen to music? I thought we replaced that with sexting. Awards season starts up again with the Grammys, celebrating whatever the music industry thought was actually good in 2012. My opinions on the state of modern music are well-known (it’s garbage), but there are some fairly interesting picks on the slate. Who would have thought ten years ago that the Black Keys would be one of the most critically-acclaimed groups in rock. Or an openly bisexual R&B singer like Frank Ocean could snag six Grammy nominations? Or that Fun. – ah, never mind, Fun. sucks. And “Call Me Maybe” might be the Song of the Year? Kill me now.
