This looks like it could be fun. Broken City sets up a very unpleasant triangle and then looks to have some fun knocking it down. In this new noir-esque crime movie, Russell Crowe plays a powerful, corrupt mayor of New York City who is so convinced that his wife is having an affair that he hires a private detective (played by Mark wahlberg) to find out who it’s with. Oh, and did we mention that the mayor also framed our hero for a scandal and made him lose his cop job? From the new footage in this trailer, it looks like this movie’s going to be a lot of those two big dogs barking at each other, and that works for me. Broken City opens January 8th, 2013.
