I’m not 100% sure how a TV adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov’s short stories got both Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe to star in it, but A Young Doctor’s Notebook, which premieres on Sky Arts in the UK on December 6th, is a thing that exists and actually looks pretty cool. Hamm plays the lead in these semi-autobiographical stories of a village doctor at the dawn of the Russian Revolution and Radcliffe plays his younger self, who appears at inopportune moments to talk smack to him.
